Marshall Vernon
Home Repair Program Manager
Marshall grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland, with a family that valued community service. Through mission trips during high school, he developed a love of building and helping others. After high school, Marshall served in AmeriCorps NCCC for a year, and AmeriCorps National for two more. While an AmeriCorps member, he served and trained with several Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout the U.S.
He continued his path with Habitat as a Construction Site Supervisor at Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, and then as the Home Repair Program Manager at D.C. Habitat. In 2020, Marshall moved to Norfolk to seek a degree at Old Dominion University. He has worked with South Hampton Roads Habitat for Humanity as a Construction Administrator on the new construction side of our mission, but now serves as the Home Repair Program Manager.
