We finally have a block foundation at our Stonehurst build!
Our very first volunteers to help us on our new build were Wells Fargo employees. Wells Fargo donated $20,000 as a part of their Wells Fargo Volunteer Services Grant which provides a mutually beneficial opportunity for Wells Fargo employees to come out and help build our Stonehurst home, while helping us with much needed funding.
Seventeen Wells Fargo volunteers came out and worked alongside our Red Hats and students from Home Builders Institute (HBI). We set the floor joists on the sills on top of the block foundation. We also got all of the sub floor for the first floor down. HBI students helped lay out the walls on the deck for our next day's build.
Wells Fargo Team Build volunteers were awesome! They worked incredibly hard despite the extremely hot weather, and we look forward to their next Team Build Friday, August 30th.
