Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) had their monthly build this past Saturday. They worked hard on getting the back porch apron trimmed out, caulking windows and trim, and painting doors and window frames of our Randolph Street build.
The Randolph Street house is coming along, the driveway and walks are in, and the porches are taking shape, while the inside is getting finished. The build might be a bit delayed by the cabinets being on back order, but you can see what a beautiful home our homebuyer Donica and her two daughters will have.
HYP is growing every month, and their members are becoming great supporters of our missions as they learn more and more about the importance of building affordable housing. They may work hard on the build site for us, but they also take the time to learn more about each other, where they work and what they do. That's the mission of HYP to bring young professionals together through networking and community to build hope, homes and help break the cycle of poverty for the South Hampton Roads region.
