Cocktails with a Cause Announcement of our 2020 Women Build Week

We are excited to have had the chance to announce our 2020 Women Build Week at Norfolk’s Town Point Club’s Cocktails with a Cause on March 12th, The event was well attended given that many companies had already imposed contact limits on their employees in light of the coronavirus crisis. Several of our already committed sponsors were in attendance including Media Sponsors WTKR-3’s Coast Live co-host, Cheryl Nelson was able to attend. Coastal Virginia Magazine, our second media sponsor gave away free subscriptions to the magazine to all who were in attendance.

Other sponsors in attendance were Tidewater Home Funding, Wall, Einhorn and Chernitzer and BK Appraisal Services.

We have plenty of sponsor opportunities still available, including Presenting Sponsor, Community Builder-Corporate sponsorships and other levels to suit everyone’s budget.

For a donation of $25,000 as Presenting Sponsor, you get you naming rights of the Women Build and will help fund the materials needed to complete the build. You will receive five separate social media mentions from HabitatSHR, On-camera participation in one segment on Coast Live (WTKR-TV 3) and mentions on 6 additional segments, Advance publicity in CoVa Magazine (May/June issue), prominent mention in our newsletter, recognition in press releases and media communications, and video captured at build site interviewing the presenting sponsor and highlighting the company. You will also have your logo prominently displayed on build signage, t-shirts, and our website. And, of course, a 4-hour build shift for up to 12 women with all the perks available to all other volunteers!

For $2,500 you can be a Community Builder- Corporate Sponsor. With your donation you will receive your own 4-hour build shift for up to 12 volunteers, your logo on our T-shirts and signs, mentions on HabitatSHR social media and newsletter and on our Partner page.

With our other sponsor levels, depending on your sponsor level, you will receive 1-2 spots for the 4-hour Sponsor Build the afternoon of March 12th. You will also receive various other recognitions.

Women can form a Fundraising Build Team of up to 12 women. With a $250 deposit, you will be given access to peer to peer fundraising tools, where you can create your own personalized fundraising page. Once your page is approved, your team can start raising money. Once you’re raised the minimum of $2,500 you’ll have secured your 4-hour build shift, but don’t stop there. The team and individual that raises the most money will win a prize!

And don’t worry if you don’t have a team of women to come out with you, individuals can come out to build with us too. For a donation of $150, individuals will also have the chance to join in the fun.

All volunteers will receive a T-shirt, lunch and snacks, a SWAG bag and an invitation to the Women Build Week Celebration on Saturday, June 13th.
