2023 Dream Builder of the Year

Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads (Habitat SHR) has selected TowneBank as its Dream Builder of the Year in recognition of the outstanding support of the non-profit’s mission. The annual award honors the accomplishments of organizations and individuals who go above and beyond to provide assistance to create affordable housing solutions that strengthen families and communities in South Hampton Roads. Jim Miller, President and CEO of TowneBank Mortgage, accepted the award on behalf of TowneBank, presented by Dr. Kia Dunbar-Harris representing Sentara Health, the 2022 Dream Builder of the Year.

Previous recipients of the Dream Builder of the Year Award also include The Dragas Companies, Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank and Birdsong Peanuts.

The award was announced during the Habitat SHR Charity Classic at the Town Point Club in Norfolk on Saturday, November 4.

As the 2023 Construction Sponsor, TowneBank has made a multi-year pledge of $500,000 over five years to help build affordable homes and provide critical home repairs for income-constrained senior, disabled and/or Veteran homeowners in South Hampton Roads. Additionally, TowneBank volunteers participated in team builds during the past year.
