The ground breaking for this property was held August 1, 2011. Construction for this home is well underway and will be closed in around the holidays.
Latasha is a Hampton Roads native, been here since she was three. After a divorce in 2007, Latasha moved her family from Ohio to Chesapeake. She’s a proud single mother of three, two daughters; Alyssa (13), Isa (7) and one son; Jerrell (1). Latasha has a full plate; a full time job as the Marketing Consultant (Team Leader) with Mr. Rogers Windows (for the past three and half years), three children and college classes (in the fall).
When asked about this next chapter in her life Latasha replied, "A new leaf, a new life". Latasha’s current living conditions are a three bedroom apartment with the two youngest sharing a room. She’s very "excited and ready for this step."
Latasha has found a good balance between work and family and loves spending time with her kids. She says it’s important to her to make time for them and ensure they have fun while they are young. Latasha’s family (she has two older brothers) is a close knit family and they spend a lot of time together – all the cousins are close in age and play together.
Latasha and her brothers are eager to build her house on the property she is matched with on Garfield Street in Portsmouth. The house is sponsored by The Port of Virginia and Virginia International Terminals, Inc.
