2004 Golf Tournament raised $6500 to Benefit South Hampton Roads Habitat for Humanity
South Hampton Roads Habitat for Humanity and WVEC-TV held the "Spirit of Hampton Roads" Habitat for
Humanity Golf Tournament at Broad Bay Country Club on Thursday, September 30, 2004. More than
80 golfers participated and Chairman Rick Galliford and his volunteers raised $6500 to build Habitat
for Humanity Houses here in South Hampton Roads.
In addition to a great round of golf, participants enjoyed a box lunch, awards reception and
several challenging contests. This year's tournament was an exciting event as golfers set
their sights on a long, straight drive and helping Habitat build and sell simple, decent, affordable
houses at no profit to low-income working families right here in South Hampton Roads.
