Habitat SHR is Proud to Partner with The Mission Continues
A national non-profit that challenges veterans to serve and lead across America. In the Fellowship Program, post-9/11 veterans are eligible to complete a 26-week community service fellowship at the non-profit of their choice, utilizing military skills to transition to full time-employment, further education, or an ongoing role of service.
As a new host site partner to The Mission Continues, we are looking forward to our first Fellow on April 23rd. We hope more veterans will consider working with us for Construction, Family Services, Volunteer Recruitment and Management, and Veterans Programs. Deadlines to apply for the Fellowship 2012 are June 1st and July 30th. Habitat SHR Awarded: "Most Families Served in 2009-2011"
We are pleased to announce that at the Habitat Virginia training event in Charlottesville, Habitat SHR received the 1st Place Award for the Most Families Served of all the Virginia Habitat affiliates during the 3 year period from 2009 – 2011! This is the second year in a row that we have received this award.

Build Your Team with Habitat: Team Building Opportunities Available
Make a $1,500 contribution to Habitat SHR and your team can have a "Team Build Day with Habitat" and be provided the following benefits:
- You will have choice of a work day on our construction calendar (Wednesday, Friday or Saturday);
- One of our construction experts will work exclusively with your group;
- Lunch and beverages will be provided;
- Habitat’s web site will publicize your corporate/group support;
- Habitat will accommodate your group of up to 15 people;
- You will receive a picture of your group on the work site.
