Homeownership Application Update

Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads' Board of Directors made the difficult decision to postpone our annual homeowner open application season which was scheduled to start on May 1st. This decision provides time to acquire land for the 2025/2026 build season. As a result, we cannot and should not select families for the upcoming year if we do not have land to build their future homes. The next homeowner application period will be announced by social media, website, newsletter, and press release. If you know anyone with good buildable land for sale, please email info@shrhabitat.org

Our home repair program is not impacted. Therefore, South Hampton Roads low-income homeowners in need of critical home repairs can email homerepairs@shrhabitat.org to determine if they qualify for this program.

Exciting News!

On Saturday, March 23rd, our Executive Director, Frank Hruska, and Home Repair Manager, Marshall Vernon, were on WNIS 790am! They were invited to discuss all things Habitat. Click below to listen to the interview and hear what they talked about!
